The Last Airbender Fever

Boykulit has been watching the series for a month now after I was able to get all three books. So when the toys came out at Jollibee he, of course wanted it. Last Friday he wasn't feeling well so we stayed home and had lunch at Jollibee to get the toys, on our way there, talking about the cartoons;

D: I'm a water bender!
BK: I'm a fish vendor!

*ROTFLMAO* witty!

While eating, he sees a small baby on the next table.;

BK: Mom look (pointing at the baby)
M: it's a baby
BK: aaawww, he's cute
M: yes he is
BK: can we get one?
M: HUWAT?! you want one already?
BK: yeah, i want a a baby brother
M: uhh... how about a baby sister?
BK: no i want a boy. Dad, can you get one for us?
D: one what?
BK: buy a baby boy for mommy and me.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. LOL coz when he was younger whenever I asked him if we can get another baby he'd say he wants a puppy. Oh my...

Yesterday, as we were headed to the mall, BoyKulit got a temperature, he was lying at the backseat of the car;

M: how do you feel
BK: I feel tired and sick. I want to go to my doctor so she can see what's wrong with me.

I started writing this entry at 3am, but had to go back to sleep coz when BK woke up and felt that I wasn't beside him;

BK: Mom?
M: Yes I'm right here
BK: come lie down beside me, I need you.
M: ok
BK: Thanks mom. I love you.

My Boy

This morning while BoyKulit and I was waiting for D in the car he noticed my new earrings;

BK: Are those new?
M: Yes
BK: How do you take them off?
M: Like this.... Ouch!
BK: You hurt yourself!
M: It's ok
(BoyKulit then kisses my earlobe)
BK: Don't wear them anymore, you get hurt. I don't want you to get hurt.

Over the weekend, we had dinner with his Papang and Mamang at Teriyaki Boy. While the grown ups were chatting he got bored and started playing Zombie Farm on his iPod. There was a part there where you had to invade and he was telling me that I should do it for him, instead I pressed another button and it totally took him out of the game.

BK: Mo-om! You're acting like daddy again!
(turns out D does that most of the time LOL)

I woke up yesterday to BoyKulit crying downstairs, so being the enabler that I am, I groggily got up to see what the commotion was. As soon as BK heard my footsteps on the stairs, he starts screaming for me;

BK: Moooommmyyy!!!
M: oh, whats wrong? It's ok, Mommy's here...
(sitting down beside him and hugging him)
BK: Daddy hurt my feelings!

0.o eh ayun naman pala eh... LOL

Turns out he doesn't want to eat and D was making him. My little drama prince! :)

Fishballs

We were eating fishballs for merienda yesterday, when Boykulit said;

BK: Mom, the fishballs look like saturn's rings...

We were grocery shopping the other day when BoyKulit spotted some bikes, he was trying one out and decided he wanted it;

BK: Mom, can we buy this bike for me?
M: Not now
BK: But why?
M: Now is not the time to buy a bike, we went here to buy groceries not a bike, maybe on your birthday
BK: Mo-om! you're giving me a hard time talking to you!
M: Listen, your birthday is not far, mommy will save up for your bike. Go show dad the bike so he knows too.
BK: ok...
(parks the bike in between two huge boxes for safekeeping since there was another kid shopping for bikes. LOL)
BK: Dad! Dad! Hurry come here! I wanna show you something!
(dragging his Dad)
BK: Hurry, someone's getting my bike very hard!

(ano daw?!)

While eating he had to do #2. So off we go. In the ladies room, while doing his thing;

BK: Mom look! There's a big one...
BK: Oooh, and it's floating! And there's a green one and a black one....
BK: They're floating like fish mom!
BK: Did you hear that? I made pootpoot!

Sweetness

Yesterday, after our lunch, as I was about to sleep, BoyKulit asked me to put Ponyo on (he's currently addicted to Miyazaki Animation). As soon as it was playing on the laptop, I laid down beside him and said goodnight, he replied with his usual 'I love you very much M'. I turned my back to him and he leaned on me, then I heard him humming his lullaby (Lullaby and Goodnight). I had to smile, I am so lucky to have such a sweet kid. :)

A couple of days ago, D was on his cellie speaking in tagalog, when he turned to BoyKulit and told him something in the vernacular, this was the reply he got:

BK: Don't talk to me in Chinese, Dad!

Boykulit Goes Back to School

Boykulit has started nursery school last month. Here's how he looked on his first day:

Yesterday while hanging out with D and BoyKulit, he suddenly starts singing to himself;

D and I look at each other surprised then back at him;

D: what are you singing?

M: where'd you hear that?
BK: it's on my iPod (matter-of-factly)

Birthdaytines

Around the same time last year, BoyKulit made this valentine for me in school. When we picked him up he was so excited, he immediately gave it to me and said;

BK: Happy birthdaytines M!
(Honga naman, birthday + valentines = birthdaytines!)

Transformers

BoyKulit and I are watching Transformers now and he asks me;

BK: why is Bumblebee crying?
M: because he wants to go to school with Sam
BK: he wants to go to robot school?

2 months

Wow! It's been two months since my last post. I've been very busy with work lately that any free time that I have is spent either sleeping or playing with BoyKulit. Let me try and blog while he's at school... :)
